Great campground. Nice beach access to the river for swimming. Several bathroom/shower houses. Lots of shade trees. Real quiet at night. Wonderful for families. No store on site but a brand new, large Dollar General and Whitehouse Convenience Store within 5 miles. Boat docks and a boat ramp.
Great view of the lake, clean facilities and campground, and wonderful, friendly staff! We will definitely stay here again!
Our favorite lake vacation spot. From the sunset views to the friendliness of the other campers, spending time here is a must for some summertime R&R.
Friendly and quiet. Some highway noise but not bad.
Was a great place to come for years! Back when Art ran the place. Kay was great. But then Art left, they stopped all nightly and tent camping. They got lazy and pushed out regular campers and fell into the “seasonal camping only” mindset. Not everyone can afford $3-4K a year to camp 5-6 times… So, sadly we will just have to live with the great memories we had of going to “The Roost”….
