Customer Reviews
Perfectly hidden away when you need to escape the modern world. The new facilities are coming together great and can’t wait to see the finished product. They did an amazing job integrating the new amenities without sacrificing the historic charm of the original camps.
Your hosts are Allen and Gloria. They are friendly, know about the back country but are also quite worldly to talk to. I have eaten at their lodge a couple of times and the food is homemade and wholesome. We enjoy hanging out in the lodge and game room. You can feel the history of the place and imagine the advertures that the big game hunters and fisherman have experienced there. I have traveled there by boat and by vehicle (30 miles on logging roads) and we always feel like we should come more often.
A truly spectacular classic hunting / fishing camp in the North Maine woods! The accommodations are plush and super comfortable. The ambiance and scene are really superb. The Hospitality and Food are a cut above the expected. Facilities are exceptional.||Treat yourself, you'll be so glad you did.
My wife and I had supper here. The hospitality, setting, and meal itself were all fantastic. One of the staff met us at the affiliated marina in the town of Eagle Lake and boated us down the lake to the landing at ELSC. That was a plus. We also could have driven to ELSC. I had stayed at ELSC for a week back in 2010, and there has been no let down in quality in that time. My wife, a first timer there last night, was really impressed. The setting amongst a group of real traditional log buildings, and westerly view over the lake are worth the price, not to mention the food and owners' gift of hospitality. We have travelled a lot in the US and in Europe. ELSC is a unique and awesome place.
Incredible history supported by people who truly love this incredible region of Maine. If you're looking to get away and make life long memories at one of the most beautiful places in the world then you need to visit Eagle Lake Sporting Camps.
