Eagle Lake RV Park

I didn't stay here yet, just delivered fuel a couple of times. I can say that the place is extremely clean and the store is well stocked. The campsites have great views too. The owner and managers seem to know what they're doing. Makes me want to stay here.

Eagle Lake RV park is 40 miles from the city of Susanville. We purchased supplies from the city and had a nice drive up the mountain and saw some beautiful scenery.||Once at the park we tried to get the internet to work since I had a few virtual appointments I needed to attend to and wasn’t able to connect whatsoever. ||We had called in advance before paying and asked if the internet was working prior to arriving and we were told it was. ||The park did have a well stocked store and Frankie was as nice as can be. ||We paid for 3 nights there and ended up staying 1 night due to lack of internet and there are no refunds. ||We did enjoy our one evening at the VFW. It's a beautiful park in a remote destination. Since we were there mid-Sept, I have to think that was why there were very few campers. Very peaceful setting among tall pine trees. The road in is under construction (thank God) so just be patient. If you need to do laundry, be prepared to wash in cold water and of the 8 dryers, only 2 were working. I'll bet they will have new ones ready for the spring. Interior roads are paved with curbs and the sites are black top.

The center spots are way too close to each other, less than 2 feet between and not even close to level. When I say not close to level from one end to the other is probably a foot in height difference. The lady at the front counter who checks you in is very easily confused and really has no idea whats going on. She and the rest of staff were nice though. Dumpster was overfilling and place was pretty crowded. Their park map really needs to be revised to show the spots better with the side yard area or lack there of depending on the specific spot. The park map makes all the spots seem the same and they definitely aren't. This place needs to do a 2.0 version along with a fenced in dog area for all the guests and I think it would be great. The manager is a self entitled ruler of our community. He bans locals for no reason. Some are disabled and elderly. Some are dependent on the store for supplies with unreliable transportation to town. He does not care.
