Duncan Reservoir Campground

It was bare bones amenities and very remote location miles off unpaved roads off the beaten path by miles. Would highly recommend however and can't wait to visit regularly. There are roughly 6 camp spots with picnic tables, fire pits and parking. The bathroom is a single stall pit toilet but had plenty of toilet paper. One of the most serene places I've ever camped absolutely loved it and did not want to leave. The mosquitos were kind off bad off the water side, but some citronella or camp smoke deterred them. There's ample on sight fishing and even a boat launch alongside a rather narrow partial access road. For the privacy, price and amenities would highly recommend to others and will definitely travel hundreds of miles to revisit. Well worth it.

Visited Duncan Reservoir Campground in a 34-foot RV and it was an incredible experience — the perfect way to wrap up my trip. Right after making the right turn off the highway, I was greeted by a group of cows, including several with their babies. They came in all sorts of colors you’d expect to see in cattle — it was such a peaceful, wholesome sight. I passed by slowly and respectfully, and it really set the tone for the rest of the visit. The road in had some minor bumps from winter, but nothing too rough — totally doable even with a bigger rig. The campground was a little tight to navigate, but the pull-through sites helped, and the whole area was very clean and well-maintained. The scenery was absolutely stunning. This was a very peaceful campground we stayed here two nights in late April in a 32 Ft Rv the road getting in was a little rough and had to watch out for the cows 🐮, but the campground itself was extremely pretty and quiet.

Never made it there. Drove between a couple farm fields and through a few gates and past a farm house before finally coming to a gate with a no trespassing sign and a private drive sign about a mile or so into the 5 miles the sign at the highway said it was. There was clearly a gravel turn around, so being a person who doesn't like to break laws or cause trouble, I took it as my hint to turn around and go somewhere else instead.

I have camped at this place since I was a child. Had fun then and I have fun now being able to take my own children there. We had fun looking for rocks and animals, fishing was fun bit tricky. There are some nice sized trout in there if you can catch them. Also the catfish are pretty fun to catch as well. This place has well kept camping sites and a restroom. Sites have camp fire rings and picnic tables. My family had a really nice time there over the weekend :)
