Driftwood Resort

The owners are very accommodating. Beautiful scenery, awesome fishing. It’s a nice quiet place to relax in the forest. The owners will do everything they can to ensure you have a relaxing vacation. Already booked a week stay for 2023 and now also trying to book one last trip in 2022. Excited to go back up there. I’ve been to many other resorts and driftwood is by far the best I’ve been to.

My family rented out all 6 of the cabins for a week stay. The drive in was beautiful and secluded. Winding roads and very tall trees in the Chippewa forest. We were warmly greeted by the owners. The cabins are so vintage and cozy. They reminded me of old grandmas cabin on the lake. Also, fully stocked for cooking, etc. You don’t even need paper plates. The view is gorgeous, one of my favorites was walking out in the morning and having morning coffee in peace. Make sure you have bug spray for the evenings. We didn’t have much luck fishing but we all enjoyed the lake and rented their pontoon which ran great!! The owners accommodated all of us and our children. Went for a week of relaxation and fishing and Driftwood was great for both. The property is kept in great condition and the cabins are well maintained, comfortable, spotless, and well equiped for a week long stay. The fishing out on Sand lake is excellent, I broke several of my own fishing records in just one week out on the lake. Chris and Stacy are great hosts and very willing to make sure everyone has a comfortable stay. This was my first time there and I can now see what keeps so many people coming back year after year, can't wait to plan my next trip there!

You'll never feel more comfortable & cozy in 1 of the 6 quintessential up north cabins on beautiful Sand Lake! The hosts are vibrant & fun but also great guides & knowledgeable about everything local! Cabins are clean & newly remodeled but still have a unique vintage feel. Fishing is great from the dock or on one of the many boats for rent! Instagramable views, catch the sunrise over the lake or take a hike in the north woods! This is a family fun resort or an intimate romantic get away.
