Downstream Casino Resort

I had a great time while I was there. The slot machines were so friendly to my budget that I stayed an extra day. My one critique is the mattresses, I stayed in two different rooms as I couldn't keep the first room when I stayed an extra night, the matresses are well used, quite lumpy. Overall, it's a great place to stay and have fun. In addition, the staff members are exceptionally accommodating and the hotel/ casino is kept very well. I will be going back.

The room was very clean and larger than most hotel rooms anywhere else. The bathroom was large and had individual shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion which I liked as opposed to the ones hanging on the walls which seems to be the norm these days at most places. It was very quiet. Check in was super easy. Easy location to get to right off highway 44. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the Joplin area.

They changed one of the best restaurants around down there. It was actually just a food court. But now they have gas station chicken for sale there, we ordered food and they pulled it from a dam glass cage and put it into containers. It was nasty when I brought this up to them. The cook told me if I wanted fresh food. I could wait 7 minutes.It should always be fresh when I talked to the person that was running the d wannabe eating facility.He could care less about our concerns.So I called h, R, but it probably won't go nowhere from there.It never does

Red Oak Steakhouse is amazing. We ate there on Valentines day 2026, yesterday. It was AMAZING!! The food, quality, perfect preperation, presentation and service was astounding. A little pricey but worth every penny. We can't wait to return. Thank all of you very much.

The resort is nice. I went to the spa and it was nice, the lady was nice. Me and my grandma went to the buffet and it was awful. Barely a selection and the food that was there had a very odd taste to it. The valets and bellhops were very nice as well. However the room was very disappointing. Hardly lit, lumpy beds, my grandma complained about lack of blankets, outdated tv, no soap in the bathroom. Anyways they should definitely put some of the money towards improving the rooms to match the nice service offered by the staff.
