Dover Inn & Suites

The rooms were nothing like the pictures that you see when booking. I had 2 rooms booked, one had a coffee pot but no cups, the other had no coffee pot at all. The room smelled very strongly of chemicals. The refrigerator had so much ice built up that it looked like it hadn’t been defrosted in years. The soap dispensers in the shower were empty.

Very bad smell in room. Paint peeling from wall. Holes in bathroom door. Bathtub looked like it never got cleaned right. Gap around door. I could see light around it. Nasty towels. One actually had a footprint on it. We had to go buy towels in order to shower. All in all it was horrible

Positive: Staff were very friendly and helpful and we always felt safe. AC worked great. Negative: The room had some updates but had a foul lingering odor of a time when it was likely a smoking hotel. We thought a wax warmer to try and help with the smell for our 2 day stay because it was so strong.

The pictures are nothing like the rooms… I had got a hotel with someone expecting at the least, a decent room based on the pictures. The health department really needs to do an inspection!! I got a bath and the paint in the bathtub was peeling into my bath water, there was no towels in the room, the tv did not work nor the microwave and the chair to the desk was broken!! This place was a terrible experience!

We walked In the main lobby to see a elderly couple wanting a queen sized bed (they never got it and left) once we got to the desk we could barely understand the woman at the front desk. We got our room and we were expecting a nice room like in the photos (it was not like the photos at all) once we walked in a terrible smell filled the room. We looked around, the bathroom was disgusting. It had stains all over the walls and the shower was terrible. No towels, shampoo, or conditioner. We checked the bed for bugs but we didn’t find anything (I guess we were wrong because now have all of these bumps all over me) I did risk it by taking a quick bath both days I stayed there (do not take the risk) my head itched a lot while I was there.
