DoubleTree by Hilton Miami North I-95

I had a last minute solo trip come up and I landed earlier than expected. The staff was incredibly accommodating., Nehemy and Natasha were fantastic!!!!! From toiletries to allowing an early check in-I couldn’t be happier with the service they provided. I arrived in Miami for a stressful situation but each time I arrived to my hotel, it was truly a place I could relax and forget about what was going on-even for a moment. The dining area is great. I only tried the American breakfast but it was cooked perfectly and the ladies working that area are so kind. Housekeeping was on point too. The rooms are a bit dated and had a bit of scuff marks on the headboard and doors- but that’s cosmetic and I’m sure the hotel is aware and will do what’s necessary to update the rooms. I highly recommend

We chose to Doubletree because it was close to the port for our cruise that we were leaving for two days. Everything has been so wonderful here especially Mario! Check-in was very smooth and he was so kind and helpful. The dinner they delivered to us was amazing even my picky babies loved it! The beds are so comfy! It has been a great stay overall! Parking is great as well. Cannot leave out the warm fresh cookies Mario gave us while checking in. They were so delicious my little boy and i had to come back and get another one. He absolutely loved them! As knowledgeable as Mario is, you would never guess he has only been here for five weeks. I was very shocked to find this out as he was so helpful and informative,and so kind he even messaged to make sure everything was good for us and to see

I chose this hotel because it carries the name “Hilton” which I thought meant quality, and its proximity to the airport and port of sail. However, that is not what we experienced. Reservations were easy using the website. When I attempted to contact the front desk, all I received each time was a voicemail. Initially I called to find out about the shuttle, which was the best part of our experience, and again to address the water temperature. The shuttle pick up at the airport was located on the first floor between doors 5-8. The shuttle showed up right on the 1/2 hour as indicated. The driver was pleasant and courteous. When we arrived, the front desk was available and there was no wait to check in. The front desk clerk was polite and welcoming and gave us two warm cookies. The options for

Positive: Room was clean, halls were not. Negative: The front desk manager was awful, we wanted to charge 2 bottles of water to the room and he asked room # gave it to him, he asked for name last name, gave it to him and he said it didn?t match, I offered my room key and ID he refused! He even yelled at me

I have stayed at this hotel twice, both times because my company booked it for a work event. Unfortunately, the condition of the hotel is very disappointing and clearly in need of major updates. The room itself was dirty and poorly maintained. The bathroom had a strong, unpleasant odor, there was water dripping from the ceiling, and the floors were sticky, heavily scuffed, and scratched. This morning, while getting dressed, I could actually smell the neighboring guest using their restroom, and the odor carried directly into my bathroom and then the room. It was extremely unpleasant and uncomfortable. Overall, this hotel needs significant maintenance and attention to cleanliness. I would not choose to stay here again unless major improvements are made.
