DoubleTree by Hilton Grand Hotel Biscayne Bay

Very nice hotel and location. Great view of the Bay and marina. Nice room and balcony. Many "on site" restaurants and shops in basement level of hotel. We did have and issue with no notice given to disregard fire alarm which was being tested. Front desk was apologetic and did provide notice before next testing. Valet parking was very responsive.

Staff was exceptional. But value for cost i would not stay here again. Room was large but otherwise 2 star hotel room experience. Upgraded balconies overlooked staff loading area and staff smoking area. 2nd balcony overlooked bay but over and across a large rooftop. Windows were dirty. White light blinking above bed all night. Toilet had to pry button up after each use and it still ran all night. Website said pool and hot tub closed at 11pm, They were closed diwn at 9pm.

We booked a suite at this hotel as the amenities seemed amazing. I will.say the room was awesome as well as the location. 5 stars! That's where the good part of this review stops! We called the day prior and asked about early check in, "no problem, I will add that request" next day...... "with the event in town, there was no way to honor this." This is the same young lady. Check our bags until check in, bell hop let's my wife carry her bags halfway to the storage room, then actually said "you can tip us now as we may not be here when you come back" GOOD LUCK BUDDY! The prepaid breakfast was NOT what was described. Get a "gift card" to 3 places in the mall and 1 could not be found! Asked prior to arrival about self laundry, yes, 5th floor takes cards. NOPE! Disappointing Stay – Construction, Accessibility Concerns, and Overall Condition I am a frequent traveler and longtime Hilton guest, and as a 100% disabled veteran, accessibility and safety are particularly important to me when choosing accommodations. Unfortunately, this stay fell well below expectations. We arrived around 10:30 PM to find the main entrance effectively operating as a construction zone. Signage directing guests to the relocated lobby was minimal and confusing. There were no automatic sliding doors at the entrance — only heavy manual doors — which made entering with luggage difficult and not accessibility-friendly. Positive: Location Negative: The hotel was under construction we received a letter from management however it was too late to book another hotel in close proximity and rearrange transportation. I booked the HILTON name and then location. Greatly disappointing.
