Double Springs Campground

Be prepared to fend for yourself when booking with them. I was not able to get any one of them on the phone once and we were not able to make a one night reservation (mandatory 2 day reservation). Ended not making it out due to an intense rainstorm and couldn't get a hold of them at all. Now I'm likely going to be charged a no show fee of an additional $20 on top of the $65 already spent

We could not book a place online so we went early on a Thursday to get a first-come-fist-serve spot. We were happy to get the exact spot our adult kids wanted. It was at the end of the road so no traffic went past us. We didn't have neighbors until late Friday through Sunday. Our hosts were wonderful and helpful. They were fun to talk to and they came by several times to make sure we were ok. They kept the bathrooms pristine (as much as you can with a pit toilet) and helped with trail info. ||||There are several trails in the area. Go exploring - it's worth the hike! And there are elk in the meadow (Mormon Lake) in the evenings and mornings. ||||Why are there questions about this being a hotel and asking if anyone speaks Croatian or Czech? Weird!

I camped here with my family. The grounds and bathrooms were clean. The host (Mary) was very helpful and polite.

Lovely, quiet campground to escape the Phoenix heat. Bring food. Otherwise, the store & restaurants are open Thursday through Sunday.

I gave this 5 stars... I don't think any campsite is perfect but this checked all the boxes off. we did 2 nights early June 2024, Phoenix was 100+ degrees and campsite was low 80's day and 50 something at night. There is convenient water and outhouses that were always very clean. there is only 15 sites so it's quiet and cozy. Some sites are close together and others have some distance between. If you are going with 2 families get camp site 2 and 3 because theyre a short stone throw away. Not all campsites had the charcoal grill seen in my video attached. I will go back to this again. there is also Mormon lake town that is a 2 minute drive from the site and they have a small restaurant, fuel, and a small store.
