Dorner's Big Bear Hideaway

My family recently stayed at Big Bear Hideaway and had a fantastic time. The cabin is beautiful; everywhere you look there is attention to detail in how they built and furnished it. We loved finding the small etchings in the wood that are everywhere. The cabin was well supplied with kitchen items we needed as well as most of the basics you would be accustomed to having away from home. Boulder Junction is just a walk down the street and has many shops to explore. Minocqua is just a short drive away. It was so nice to be home in a cozy cabin, and pop away for a short bit if we wanted to. We will definitely be back to enjoy a Big Bear Cabin again!

Awesome cabin, awesome location, awesome rates. Cabin looked brand new and even smelled new. Very clean and comfortable! We had a couple of friendly bucks in the yard, turkeys roosting in the nearby trees, and caught fish from the pier. Wishing we would have had time to take out the canoes. Looking forward to future visits. We will be back!

Big Bear Hideaway is a magical place to soak up the Northwoods. Arriving through their gates, the layout of the resort and the snow was breathtaking. Upon entering our Polar Bear Palace, more surprises awaited us along with a warm and welcoming environment. We normally like to be on the trails and out & about. This visit, we couldn't get enough of our room and the local feel. We thoroughly enjoyed our 3-night stay!

This is our second time staying with them! We love the area, the owners are very nice and very accommodating. The cabins are clean, comfortable and cozy. I highly recommend staying with them if you’re needing a getaway place in Boulder Junction. BJ has cute shops, nice dining and lots to do within an hour or so of travel. We will definitely be back!

Great place to stay while in Boulder Junction. Beautiful log cabins in various sizes. Wood carvings scattered around the grounds. There is a community grilling area. Within walking distance to town.
