Dolphin Sands Clearwater Beach, an Ascend Collection Hotel

We really enjoyed our stay at Dolphin Sands over NYE. Even though it was chilly the whole time, we did have one day that was warm enough to sit out on the beach. Mel helped us with chairs. She was very friendly and helpful. I can’t wait to come back to receive such great service from her. She was constantly moving around and making sure everyone had what they needed. The waitress that helped us while we were on the beach also provided us with excellent service. All of the staff we came into contact with were very friendly. Including the staff member that helps with the traffic and garage. He talked to my daughter and I on the last day we were there while we were waiting for our Ubers. I can’t wait to come back! The nicest staff! Thanks for making our stay so amazing!

We stayed here this summer and came back this fall. The hotel was nicer than I remembered but it did appear they had remodeled since we were there unless they hadn’t gotten to the floor we previously stayed in. There are several restaurants and breakfast spots within an easy walking distance. The private beach was enjoyable and very clean. I highly recommend the beach view rooms vs the partial view. Our room was a corner room and was quite roomy for 4 adults. We really enjoyed the peaceful sights in our balcony. The only thing I can even remotely complain about is the small elevator. But even that wasn’t a big deal. We weren’t on the main beach but not far from it if that is where you want to be. Dolphin Sands Hotel was the perfect getaway from two feet of snow in February! From the moment we arrived, the front desk staff made us feel genuinely welcomed. They were warm, helpful, and professional throughout our entire stay. The property staff were equally friendly, working to keep the property safe and keeping everything in great shape. Our room was ground level, next to the pool. We did see some ants - not a huge deal for us as we were in and out of our patio door quite a bit. Once we found more of them congregating, we told the staff and they responded quickly, showing us what they were using, cleaning the area, and apologizing. My husband and I were just there. Thanks Dolphin Sands. Feb. 24-27th, 2026. Hospitality was too notch. Jace in the parking garage was very helpful and friendly, Good recommendations as well. Mariah was equally helpful and friendly at check in. We had a partial ocean view, great view from the balcony, beautiful sunshine and warm for our 3 nights there. The room was plenty, a nice roll away desk (added table) helped with luggage. The pool was heated 80* and private beach with live music. Beach Birds Bar had great drinks and service, Thank you to Candace. She had a very busy Thursday with the beach crowd. Rum Runners yes, but she was also a runner. Check out Cabanas for breakfast and lunch. Good food and reasonably priced. Good portions, We shared every meal. A great way to end our 2 weeks in

We had a wonderful stay at Dolphin Sands! The location is absolutely unbeatable — everything is walkable and there are so many great restaurants nearby. The beach is right there, and we even saw dolphins from the shore… incredible! Our room was very clean and we had the partial ocean view, which was perfect. The only downside was the extremely loud construction next door. They started every morning at 8am, even on weekends, which made sleeping in impossible. The room itself is on the smaller side and could definitely use more storage space for luggage and clothing, but overall it was comfortable and spotless.
