Dillon Beach Resort

My partner and I stayed at Dillon Beach Resort for two nights to celebrate our anniversary, and we loved the whole experience. The vibes were great, the views were beautiful, and everything was very clean. I have always wanted to stay in a tiny home, so it was fun to finally check that off my bucket list. We were super close to the beach, which made it easy to walk down and enjoy the ocean. We also lucked out with a last minute upgrade from the Cypress cabin to the Sweetwater cabin, and it ended up being the best decision. The Sweetwater cabin was amazing and really made the stay feel extra special. Check in and check out were both very easy and smooth. We stayed at Dillon Beach Resort for a relaxing girls’ getaway and had a great experience. The room was very clean, nicely decorated, and check-in was easy. Although check-in is officially at 4 PM, we were allowed in at 3 PM, which we really appreciated. The views and surrounding area are beautiful, and it’s an easy walk to the beach. There is a small store on site, though essentials like water and drinks are a bit pricey, so it’s good to plan ahead. The restaurant was reasonably priced and convenient. Our cottage had a low-height sleeping loft with very steep stairs, and they are truly steep. As an older woman, I found them a bit challenging. The cottages and cabins are so perfect- efficient functionality and stylish coastal comfort. Amazing views and so close to the sweetest beach. We have been coming here for years and it’s magical every time. Staff is so kind and helpful. Restaurant and store have fantastic choices!

This is our second trip to the resort and are looking forward to our third. The cottages are perfect for a little get away. Plan a combo of making small meals in room and grab at least one bowl of chowder from the restaurant. We spent lots of lazy hours playing games at the picnic tables. Love that our pets are welcome. They have easy rinse off stations, potty area, and broom in room to tidy up from the sand and fuzzies.

The cottage was darling and the view can’t be beat! However, this cottage is advertised to sleep up to four with one of the beds being a pullout couch. This couch is unsleepable- my friend and I had to trade so that each of us could get one good night’s sleep. The mattress is very thin and you can feel the boards underneath. I highly recommend replacing this with something more comfortable; at the price of the rooms, the beds should be comfortable. Other than that, our stay was perfect!
