Wow. I know it's winter and all but the place is incredible. Very secluded. Right now it is closed. Either by the season or corona. Very 'rain forest-ish'. The river that literally runs through it it intense. All the time we we were there we kept coming up with ideas for camping this spring or summer. The way the river winds through and the moss laden trees everywhere, very beautiful. You need a WA State Discover Pass, but it is well worth every penny. I will, we will all be back in nicer weather. Thank Dewatto Campground.
We've gone here the last 3 years for the 4th of July to escape the noise for our dogs. Kids love it and the water is so refreshing on these hot days. Very relaxing as long as no parties happen 🤣
Had a wonderful time. Not busy when we were there, just a boy scout group. I hear it can get very crowded. Port a potty was way to full, should have been dumped before a weekend, but otherwise a magical place. P.S. humans stop destroying things. So many trees with devastating injuries from ner' do wells hitting them with hatchet and hammers, don't break the tips off baby trees Love your wilderness or stay out
We had so much fun here. It was beautiful. A creek and river run on the edge and there was a sandy area that my kiddos LOVED. We will definitely go again.
I don’t really understand the high reviews. Campsites are very affordable, but in my opinion, for the very few amenities (if you can call them that) you get at this campground, you may as well save your $25 and do distributed camping instead. I don’t know how they even justify charging $25. 1. Campsites are VERY very close together. I’m talking within 10-15 feet on 3/4 sides. People will walk right through the middle of your campsite to get to their campsite or to the water. 2. LOUD. One next door neighbor will be blasting music while another neighbor’s dog is barking nonstop. You will not be able to enjoy the sounds of nature. Feels more like you’re at a dive bar. 3. Not family friendly. We got to the campsite at 4pm, and all of our neighbors were already day drinking and/or smoking or d
