Devil Creek Reservoir is an Idaho irrigation body of water with a private operated campground and state fishing stocked Reservoir. The reservoir is just off of I-15 4 miles north of Malad Idaho. The fishing is good even though the water level drops 30 feet from spring to fall. Ice fishing can be good but you really need to pay attention to the soft edge as the lake rises in level. The campground has full hookups but is really close quarters. Cost from full hookup is $40 per night. Dry camping is $20 per night. Boat launch is $5 for boat with motor and $2.50 without. Easy access!! Love the eagles flying around.

This was a destination spot for us as we were covering a ton of ground in as few days as possible on our Grand Teton to Yellowstone trip this past May. We had to stop often and tried to find aw-inspiring spots. Devil Creek Reservoir offers breathtaking views, quiet, kid-friendly, picnic areas, restrooms, easy parking and fishing. We ran into an issue with our vehicle and a kind soul who happened to be nearby saw us struggling and came over to help my husband. Faith in humanity restored!

Beautiful lake view with mountains in the backdrop. It has plenty of options for water activity/sports. Bathrooms are not great and could be improved.

Devil Creek Reservoir is a beautiful spot with stunning views and incredible fishing. The campground was peaceful and well-maintained, making it a great place to relax and enjoy nature. The owner was super helpful and responsive, which made the experience even better. I’d definitely come back again—highly recommend for anyone looking for a scenic and enjoyable getaway!

Good dark spot for star gazing or aurora hunting right off the freeway.
