Desert Sage Retreat

This was our second stay. We stayed in a cabin. It was roomy with a very comfy bed. We stayed in February and because we stayed here before we were prepared for the cold. We travel with a portable heater since we camp so much. We brought our extra heavy blankets as well so we were ready and comfortable. There is a tv room next door as well . There are shared bathrooms which isnt terrible, they keep them pretty clean. Take shower shoes and a robe if you dont like touching where others have touched. They now have cabins with a kitchenette and bathrooms and hot tubs. Our next stay will be in one of those. Pros of the cabin: roomy with a sofa Cons of the cabin: needs more hooks to hang things up, no area to cook~ no bench or grill for us to use. My advice is to travel with a heater and extra

This is the cutest gem!! After we stayed near Zion/Springdale, we wanted an easy stay on this side of the mountains ahead of the drive to Grand Canyon National Park. ||Quiet & amazing stargazing. Clean restrooms/showers (towels provided). Each site has a firepit (firewood available on property).

The rooms and theming are absolutely fantastic If you come when it’s colder make sure to bring lots of warm blankets or sleeping bags, because the heaters they provide are insufficient to keep the wagon or tent warm. Also, it states it is close to Zions National Park and it is really a little over an hour away. It was tough after being in the park all day and feeling exhausted to have to drive over an hour just to get back. The front desk was super responsive over messaging, however, we heard the other struggled with immediate problems when trying to reach them by telephone. Storage in the tent and the wagon were extremely limited, they provide two towels, but there’s no place to hang or store anything. The location of the accommodation on the edge of the desert with a view of the mountains is very beautiful. The rooms for rent are completely unsuitable for winter. They are hardly insulated and only a small fan heater is provided. This broke down on both nights (!) so that the temperature in the room dropped to 4 degrees Celsius overnight. After waiting overnight and reporting the problem, I was asked to take the device apart myself to fix the fault. Despite the suggested solution, it broke down again. The provider did not really care. The sauna can only be used from 4 to 8 p.m., which is not mentioned during the booking process. The facilities are generally very spartan. Great stay. Convenient to Zion, and a grocery store. Would stay again. WiFi a little iffy. Kitchen minimalist but effective and had all we needed. Hot tub, hammock, great stargazing, what’s not to like.
