Desert Rose Resort & Cabins

I stayed two nights and this is beautiful resort with numerous amenities: pool, fitness center, quiet places, and a great breakfast buffet. The staff is outstanding and there is a daily room cleaning. For me, one of the best things about the owners is their amazing efforts to reduce their impact on the environment. Lodge rooms have tankless, point of use water heaters and low flow water toilets (so important in the desert!) They have installed solar panels to supply clean energy. I will stay here anytime I am in the vicinity of Bluff, Utah!

This was the perfect gem in the middle of nowhere. We stayed in the courtyard rooms of The Desert Rose Resort and the room was spacious, upscale and we even had our own private covered porch with amazing views. The bed was so comfortable, and the towels were so soft. The attention to detail was amazing. Check in was easy, and the staff was very friendly. The courtyard building had a beautiful lobby with oversized comfortable furniture and a gas burning fireplace to unwind if you wanted. The pool was also in this building and not crowded at all with one or two people in the hot tub. Breakfast was served (included) in the main building (just a few steps out the lobby door) and it included a wide variety of hot and cold items in a pretty room. Nice, comfortable rooms and friendly, helpful staff. The rustic wood exterior, dark wood interior doors and trim, and distressed furniture could make you feel like you're in a Gunsmoke episode, but with a microwave, flat screen TV and air conditioning. Perfect location for enjoying the southeast Utah scenery and dark skies. Fabulous views in all directions. Very nice pool and hot tub. The restaurant was closed for the season so can't comment on that.

We loved our stay at the Desert Rose. It was the perfect Night 0 for our three day river trip on the San Juan. The pool/exercise room was GORGEOUS! The rooms were also very inviting and clean. We had one snafu, but the staff handled it professionally. I will be back.
