Deerwood Lodge

My family and I have been going to this resort every year for well over 20 years now. This place is our home away from home. We look forward to our time together in this private, away from the world, get away all year. The owners of the resort are always so friendly and really care about their guests. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to get away for a while to just relax on the beach, go kayak/boating, fishing, or read a nice book in this quiet resort.

Deerwood has become our home away from home each summer. We join friends and family for a week of fun and relaxation. This summer there's a new slide at the beach, which our toddler absolutely loved. The "master" bedroom is just big enough to safely fit a pack and play, and there's enough room to fit a sleeping bag between the twin beds for a smaller kiddo. The owners are amazing and provide so much for all the guests, and are always working on updates throughout the resort. It's an ideal location, about 30min from Minocqua and 20min from Mercer. Minocqua has lots of cute little shops downtown, plus Wildwood wildlife park and a Walmart. Mercer has the wampum shop, another yearly stop for us. If you go further north there's plenty of state parks and waterfalls to explore as well.

Our family goes to Deerwood Lodge every year and rents several of the cabins. It is the best family quality time for us. There is so much to do there, and it is also so relaxing not to do anything. The Draegers have done a great job of making the resort family friendly, and they also make us feel like family when we are there. We will continue to come back each year.

We have spent a few week long stays at this resort. The owners are very hospitable and visit with all guests. It's very quiet and serene and very relaxing. Our dog loves playing with the owners dog Apollo and of course their grand daughter. It's so peaceful as the resort is the only thing on this lake. Waterski , kayak, paddleboat, canoe, fishing are just some of the things to enjoy. Maybe a rest beachside and watch the family swim . Once you come here.....you will come back. You might even be entertained by the owners daughter in law who is a professional water skier. Book your stay here and you'll have enjoyed a relaxing vacation away from the rat race

My family and I have been going to Deerwood Lodge every summer since I was a kid. It is the only thing on the entire lake, which makes the whole time there very peaceful. The cabins are very comfortable; when we're not in the water, we're usually playing a game at the kitchen table or on the spacious patio. I highly recommend it!
