Deerfield Inn & Suites

The rooms were aged but clean. The beds were made up with brand new, soft sheets and the comforters weren't paper thin (like in other budget motels). Quiet, but on a rather busy street. Better than I expected.

First, this hotel will not take reservations, and you can't pay for a room over the phone. I was informed that I had to come there in person and if they had a room they would give us one. What hotel does that? Then, when my husband tried to pay for a 3rd day in the morning, he was informed that they had to clean the room first, even though we requested no maid service. He had to go to work and forgot to leave the card with me but sent me the number and information. After coming to the room at 10 AM and not even cleaning it they refused to take the card info from me. They said my husband had to be there, even though it's the same card we used before and I had the info. They said my husband didn't tell them he was leaving. WHAT??? Why would he need to tell them that? They said

Many sad reviews but I had to come stay here because of the massive snow/ice storm. Yes, amenities are sparse but it was warm and clean. My interactions with staff were friendly and kind. I'm thankful I had a place to go when my power was out for 7 days.

Terrible service. Due to the bad weather I let them know I couldn't come. By message and called them (left a message). And now they won't give me a refund. It was a non-refundabel room, but I hoped on some compassion. But they also give me a penalty for npt showing up, allthough I let them know of that fact in time. Never again!

Would rather sleep in my car than give these people any money. I came by to ask if they had any availability, guy up front says very shortly they are full, so I leave and try somewhere else. They don't have a phone number listed, so when I saw check in was at 3 and online said they had availability, I drove back to ask for clarification. Before I got out of my car the staff came to my window and told me they were full again. Weird, but whatever. I'm not from the area so I am in my car searching for somewhere else to go, using Google maps before driving off aimlessly. That's when the cleaner comes up and starts raising her voice that if they see my car again they will call the cops, and that I can't park here.
