Dead Broke Inn

This place was purchased by Heidi 2 or 3 years ago and now goes by the name of SADDLE TRAMP. Heidi is an excellent hostess who always keeps the customers in mind. She offers excellent food and awesome lodging and a saloon as well. The prices are the best in town. When you rent from her you basically get a beautiful and comfortable cabin. Bring the children too. They can sleep in their own comfy beds upstairs or downstairs and they can practice roping barrel cows or play bean bag games in the grassy yard. There are all the amenities too. I am a picky person but I must say i am totally impressed and have zero complaints.

My Partner and I just stayed at the Deadbroke Inn in Pleasant Valley toward the end of April. From our first arrival in Pleasant Valley, and upon being greeted in the driveway by our wonderful hosts, Karla and Robin, we knew we had stumbled upon something special. The property is the result of a great deal of creativity, vision, and hard work on the part of Karla and Robin, and it is both fun and whimsical, and very comfortable and peaceful. The Saloon, and it's large sleeping capacity, presents guests with all kinds of fun possibilities. We envisioned returning with a small group of friends and having a party in the saloon, and shooting pool, etc... The place is equally well suited to a quiet romantic getaway for two. This place is incredible! It’s not high tech or ultra modern. But who would expect that in the middle of nowhere? It is wonderfully decorated! The interior ceilings in my room were the old, decorated tin ceilings. The entire interior is covered in old reclaimed lumber. The beds are very soft and the design is very reminiscent of the old west. The bunkhouse we stayed in is new (review posted June 2024) The proprietors are clearly putting a great deal of work into it and I imagine it will continue to improve with time. Regardless, it’s still great now! They are so kind. When they learned the only other restaurant in town was closed they offered to make us dinner! And we accepted! It was amazing! Love this place!! The owners are delightful (and have a big heart doe animals, which means a ton to me). It was perfect for what we qanted: winding down between 2 big backpacking trips. We were so happy to have a spacious kitchen and living area, great shower, and the owners even did laundry for us for a reasonable price. That gave us more time to relax instead of being in a laundromat. Young is a fantastic location, nestled between extraordinary wilderness with incredible trails and outdoor opportunities. The owners plan to have a restaurant, so we look forward to our next visit!!

We had an off-road group with approximately 20 plus people stay here for 2 nights on Memorial Day weekend. The owners Kenny and Heidi are amazing. They take care of everything want to make your stay perfect. They also prepare 5 Star quality meals. They have many activities for all ages. A saloon with pool table. They also have a custom made shooting gallery. ||||If're looking for a place to stay in Young with a large group, I strongly suggest the Deadbroke Inn. Plenty of secure parking for your cars and even has room for trucks and trailers if this is your staging point.||||This place is still making improvements as it is under new ownership.
