Days Inn by Wyndham Sarasota Bay

The only good thing about this hotel is the location. Aside from that it is without a doubt one of the nastiest places I have ever been. First lets start with breakfast. They have a pancake maker. No mix though to make. No other food besides cereal and bagels. No OJ, only coffee. Now the room. Smelled of bleach as others have said. The lamp in the corner was so rusted i am surprised it even turned on. The chair in it had so many stains I was scared to stand too close. The pillows where about the size of my shoe and my shoe I think would of been more comfortable. Every piece of metal was rusted including the bathtub. The other furniture was all heavily scratched. Our dresser had where the fridge should be, however it was under the sink. The only reason we stayed was due to the

The room was very dirty, there were beer cans behind the nightstand. The bathroom had brown stains on the water container, I hope it wasn't what I imagine it is! There was no soap in the room and I had to go down to ask for it. The bathroom lock was loose, it wasn't firm. The towels were too small, they looked like they were the floor ones. We stayed two nights and they didn't clean any day. Old and dirty room. I would definitely not return. I hope you take better care of these aspects and check that the cleaning is really done well! It is unpleasant to find this for 280usd that I paid.

The hotel looks great from the outside. It looks freshly painted, nice clean lobby that looked like it was recently renovated. Once you get to the for of your room, you can see that it hasn't been touched in the last 20 years. Open the door to your room and you'll find matching furniture. Old, very weathered furniture that hasn't been changed or fixed in the last 30 years. Everything looked like it matched that same era, even the bed cover. The dresser had deep scratches on the front that would make you question where, how, why did this happen. The stove top was missing pieces. The whole experience will make you cringe & throw up.

My wife and I traveled from Tennessee Sarasota for IVF treatments. We arrived around 330-400am. We had booked at another place, but no one was around to let us pay and give us room cards. So we traveled a little ways down and found this Days Inn. The gentleman running the counter was professional and helped us with all our needs even at such an early morning timeframe. Not only that, but Days Inn was certainly cheaper than what had originally had booked. Thank you for all your help and hospitality! The Stinnett family

Positive: The location was wonderful. It was very close to town and activities. Negative: The non smoking room had a cigarette burn in the comforter. The pillows and towels were child size. The furniture was chipped. The ceiling in the bathroom had torn drywall, walls and doors had chipped paint, rusty chrome fixtures. Hotel needs updating.
