Customer Reviews
The overall experience is great for an over night stay! 1- The hotel 🏨 has easy highway 🛣️ access and has a gas station ⛽️ next to it. 2- The room was spacious. The king bed 🛌 was comfortable and the five pillows were too. 3- However, the bathroom 🚽 and sink area were small. 4- The continental breakfast 🧇 was decent.
Positive: Cleanliness and price Negative: Outdated stuff in time of 1990s parking is to small. The pool was out of service, and by the looks of it, it's been that way for awhile.
Great stay at an economy tier hotel. Room was fine. I appreciate the power strips to provide additional outlets. Breakfast was also fine. We didn't try the pool. The only thing we would have liked was an elevator. We also appreciated indoor hallways in an economy tier hotel.
My husband & I spent 2 nights here while taking our niece & nephew to the nearby parks. This place had a lot going for it. The location is great -- right off I-39, just a few miles south of 80, close to both Starved Rock & Matthiessen. There are a couple amazing eating spots within walking distance. The room, while a little small for 2 adults & 2 kids, was clean & comfortable. The bathroom & vanity were a tight fit though. The staff were very friendly & helpful if we needed something for the room or had questions. I'm told the pool was a bit chilly, but it appeared clean & well maintained (the kids enjoyed it both evenings). The breakfast was decent: yogurt, oatmeal, waffles, fruit (I think), bagels/toast/muffins, but no protein selection (wasn't a big deal to me, but my husband was bummed
We stayed here on October 3rd, 2025, in room 101, and had a really nice experience. The pool was very clean, and the breakfast room was spotless and hygienic. The lady at the front desk that night was so kind and caring, she helped us book our room even though we arrived late, carried our heavy luggage, and made sure we were comfortable. She also helped us on a call that night and went out of her way to find us a parking spot when the lot was full for the weekend. Her kindness and patience really stood out. The motel is spacious, clean, and has fresh air all around. It’s also very close to Starved Rock, which made it a perfect location for our visit. Highly recommend!
