Days Inn by Wyndham Hillsborough

Person working front desk 1/7/26 around midnight was unfriendly at best, unprofessional at worst. Greeted him, no response, the name for the booking was auto corrected to "Frankie Christina", not my actual name which should be an easy fix but no, he took my phone, decided to start scrolling through it without permission or stating what he is looking for for about 5 minutes and when i got my phone back, new tabs were open which is unacceptable. Then he took my card, charged $100 to it without telling me what it is for or explaining anything, had me sign things without explaining anything about it, and was generally very unpleasant. You guys need new staff who actually wants to do their job.

Closest big space is walmart about 1.5 miles away. Rooms, obviously are days inn standard with a hit or miss. But no towels, no toothpaste, or no plastic forks available. And even if items are available, "we can't deliver to your room". All in all bad management. Can't blame the staff. EDIT: Btw, while rating, pay attention to the question " how would you describe the hotel". Smartly placed question. You can't describe anything bad. Here goes another star from the review. Was rating rooms as 1, service as 2 and location as 2. Duping questionnaire reduced everything by 1 star.

The rooms had black mold growing. We got this hotel to stay the night while driving through the town. Had low expectations based on reviews but still ended up heavily disappointed by how things were.

Positive: "" Negative: Check-in staff wasn’t attentive, room was dirty and smelt, breakfast in the morning was completely gone - including coffee - by 6:30a. Staff couldn’t care less to replenish.

The people at front desk were awesome, they were informative and helped me with directions to the local restaurants. Room was clean, quiet and descent size. Enjoyed my swim at the outdoor pool. Breakfast was not much served but was okay to eat.
