Dandy Flats

We spent one night at the historic Dandy Flats in Thomas and loved it. It was so comfy and nicely decorated with unique artwork. It was a great location near coffee shop, places to eat and trails. Check in was very easy, and check out was simple with very few end of stay requests. Cost of stay was very reasonable and would highly recommend it to anyone in this vicinity of West Virginia.

Stayed here twice I believe with my 3rd time coming up this weekend. Wow, what a spot! The owners have obviously put a tremendous amount of thought and effort into renovating this historic building with a perfect mix of leaving the old and embracing the new. Cost is very fair, location is unbeatable, and it's always very clean. I always look forward to staying here during my trips to Canaan if it is available!

I drove 50 miles through thick snow and unplowed back roads, worried I get stuck, very intense and scary. This flat was worth it. It was warm and cozy when I arrived, the owners certainly know how to make a moody and thoughtful ambiance. Everything is high quality and tasteful. The bed was excellent. I’ll definitely be back to this sweet town, hopefully with a bit less snow!

I've stayed at Trevor and Justin's airbnb several times with the last 2 of them as its second incarnation as The Dandy. It is one of my favorite places I've ever stayed in that the spaces are immaculate, interesting, cozy, and has a few fun surprises (no spoilers) that make it truly unique. The hosts spare no expense or effort in terms of the thoughtfulness and care that goes into making your stay as comfortable and special as possible. Thomas, WV, if you haven't been is also home to a lot of really cool, amazing artists of all kinds (I go home with a new piece every few times I visit), great music at the Purple Fiddle, hiking, beauty, and it's about 15 degrees cooler in the summer than the rest of the country.
