Free Dry camping with a view of Dworshak Dam. Photo of the general area. Great fishing in the reservoir. Tour the dam or just kick back. The campground is shaded and level.
Rode all the way out there from Moscow Idaho. I wanted to check out the damn in the campgrounds. When I got there the gates were closed. I did get some pictures though.
We found this gorgeous free campsite through an app, and it's one of the best finds I've had! We ended up spending a couple hours at the Dam with our kids, learned a lot and had a blast. Contrary to another review, there are at least 2 tent sites (with a fire ring and picnic table each) but it could easily fit 3-4 tents, and there is a large area for RVs to dry camp free as well. There is an exceptionally clean porta-potty and a pump for potable water. Around the corner is a very clean and very nice public restroom where we washed up. There is an RV spot just down the road with hookups, and many other tent and RV camping options very near here. I'm sure they're great! But this one's free 😉
