Hiked/backpacked in here with some friends from strawberry lake through the Turtle Mountain State Forest trail system, and it's a very pretty hike, the only downside being the ticks and mosquitoes. We were the only people here for 2 nights, which was awesome. There was a large, clean water reservoir for horses as this is a common horse trail as well, and this gave us a supply of filterable drinking water for the 2 days there. There is an outhouse, which was well-stocked with toilet paper, but I had to radicate quite a few spiderwebs to get into it. I'll probably be back here again in the future!
Cozy remote spot next to some trails. Either the outhouse is no longer available or my group wasn’t able to find it near the campground itself.
Looking for the off the beaten trail free campsite. Here it is. Super private. Woodstove in a shed for freezing days. Outhouse, ponds.
