Cypress Inn Carmel-by-the-Sea

Absolutely gorgeous hotel ! It has everything , the best staff! rooms are beautiful with everything you’d love for a beautiful stay in Camel by the sea . First of all their staff is amazing and the best we’ve encountered. Our room was heaven gorgeous and we loved our evenings bed turn down with chocolates on our pillows just the perfect touch! The bed was fabulous we had the best rest and our extended weekend was one of pure delight. The breakfast is delicious and has many delicious dishes to choose from and perfectly made. Thank you to all our kitchen staff you are amazing . Our dinners in the evening in their fabulous restaurant were just the best the staff always so attentive and friendly and welcoming . It's not often you find a place that allows your furry family member to be with you inside it's facilities. This hotel is quaint and in an excellent location! We loved the outdoor dining experience too! Our room was lovely with a balcony and large jacuzzi tub! The champagne that was waiting for us, was above and beyond what we expected on our anniversary trip! We had a lovely time here. It is a bit steep in price, but well worth it.

My wife and I love staying at The Cypress Inn, even when we don’t have our doggies with us! We most recently stayed in Jan, booked for 2 nights on holiday weekend. At one point I spilled water on the wood floor of our room and used a white towel to clean it up, the floor was so clean the towel remained white after I used it! Emi and Kathleen at the front desk are so sweet, helped us add on another night, had the bellhops move our baggage to the new room, we didn’t have to lift a finger! (Except leave a great tip for exceptional service!) The bellhop also had greeted us right when we first pulled up, grabbed all our bags, brought them to our room. We absolutely love this place. Very sad to see how Cypress Inn has changed. We’ve been coming here with our dog for years. It was expensive but the customer service was incredible. But now their prices have increased significantly yet they no longer offer the decanter of Sherry, or the doggie amenities. The cheapest room is $350, plus $40 for dog, plus $40 for parking lot and the room is so tiny with no dresser and no place to set your suitcases. Time to find another place I guess. :-(

Over $400 a night for no hot water. That’s right, cold water only in our shower! Maintenance man came and turned it on and just said to wait like 5 mins. It never got warmer. I called again and said it’s cold and we can’t shower and the front desk informed me they were fully booked and there’s nothing they could do. We are sweaty from our hike and don’t want to take ice cold showers! Disappointing. Also no parking.
