An average 3-star camping experience. It meets the basic needs for a site, but there's definitely room for improvement in the facilities and overall upkeep. It’s a fine spot if you just need a simple place to set up camp.
Pretty large site. No platforms or shelter (as of July 2025) Not many choices for hanging a hammock but, to be fair, it was a pretty crowded night.
Beautiful hike to a great campsite. Fire pit, picnic table, privy and water. Always a good time.
Took 2 hours to hike from Dalton you need to be in shape and carry at least four bottles of water
Very nice camp spot with little to no insects.
