Crowne Plaza New Orleans French Qtr - Astor

I cannot say enough good things about our stay here! We were greeting with amazing service and kindness right from the start. Byron helped make my girlfriend's birthday amazing with gifts just for her and getting us checked in early. The entire staff was always helpful and friendly. I also love that it is right next to bourbon Street and easy access to everything we want to see and do. This is my go to hotel everytime we visit New Orleans.

I have stayed at the Crowne Plaza on Canal St., New Orleans before and always had a most pleasant stay. And this visit was no different except that it exceeded my expectations. Jessica at the front desk is absolutely extraordinary! When I checked in, she said if there was anything about the room I had been assigned that didn't appeal to me to just let her know. I was happy with the room, it was just that the window looked out to a brick wall and would not have allowed much natural light, which would be problematic for me. She told me to come back down and happily reassigned me a room on the sixth floor with plenty of natural light. Positive: Location Negative: Booked an accessible room. Was not accessible at all. Toilet was made for a kindergarten, Had to help wife get up from toilet. (was extremely low to floor). Bed was very hard and extra tall. Had to lift my wife up into bed. Not worth the price.

We stayed during Mardi Gras and, while the location and parade balcony access were appreciated, the overall experience did not reflect a 4-star standard. The issue was not volume. We expected crowds. We expected lines. What was frustrating was the lack of operational consistency. Check-in was incomplete. Guests were issued room keys without being provided or informed about security credentials or vouchers. These were only discovered later after encountering issues or learning from other guests. For an annual, predictable high-volume event, materials could have been pre-prepared and distributed cohesively at arrival. Security relied on disposable paper wristbands that were not issued at check-in. After removing mine to shower (they are not waterproof), I did not think about it again unti

I had such a wonderful stay at the Holiday Inn Crowne Plaza New Orleans French Quarter. I can’t say enough positive things about this hotel and its staff. From the moment I arrived, the staff was friendly and the hotel was beautiful. The location says Bourbon St. but it faces Canal St. and conveniently located to everything. I was traveling with my two girlfriend (think middle aged) and felt very comfortable and safe at the hotel. After I checked I realized I had accidentally left my wallet in the room, and as soon as I reported it, the staff jumped into action. They found it quickly and made sure it was returned to me right away, which was such a relief and truly made my day. I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting New Orleans that wanted to need close to the quar
