Crowne Plaza Foster City-San Mateo

We stayed in the honeymoon suite at the Crowne Plaza Foster City as part of a wedding weekend, with multiple rooms booked for our guests. Unfortunately, the experience fell short in several ways.||The suite had only one robe—which seems like an oversight for a room intended for two—and there were no basic amenities like napkins. We requested a second robe, but it was never brought. The next morning, loud construction began before 8am, making it hard to get any rest.||The night before the wedding, during the reception, a security guard screamed at my fiancé on the dance floor—yelling “No drinks on the dance floor!” in front of everyone. The hotel rooms are clean, there is a refrigerator, but there is no microwave, there is a vault to keep things safe. Also there is gym not that big and a swimming pool and a hot tub. There is free WiFi though.

We stayed at the Crown Plaza for a volleyball tournament at the San Mateo Convention center. The location was perfect! The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. The pool was a major bonus for the kids as it was indoor, very clean and big enough for them to enjoy. I think my only "complaint" if you will was there was no fan in the bathroom. Other than that the experience was very pleasant even with the construction which did not effect our stay at all. I will be back!

This hotel is a hidden gem. Recently renovated and is very nice. Staff are all excellent . Breakfast buffet is fantastic with all sorts of every breakfast food and even a salad bar. Beds are super comfortable and rooms really clean. Thank you so much to all at the Crowne!! (Also you can hop on the freeway in any direction right around the corner, the airport is 15 mins away)

This hotel is a wonderful "find" for us and we look forward to getting back there again as soon as we can. It is that terrific! We recently had the good fortune to stay here a night in October and one night last week. We found that every member of the hotel staff we came into contact with were courteous, professional and friendly and we found there was even a smiling face at the front desk when we checked out at 3:45 a.m. We also want to give a special thanks to Christina Roman who was very instrumental in taking care of all our needs, and more, in a lovely way. We couldn't have asked for anyone better than Christina!
