The nightly rate and location are the two features that initially attracted me to this property. I had read the other reviews and was aware that the unit I had selected was smaller than what I considered normal for a one queen bed unit. I credit the owner with utilizing the limited space very efficiently. It was adequate for one night but I would become claustraphobic if staying longer. Shelves rather than a dresser are provided to contin clothing and other personal items. These were adequate to meet our needs. Lighting is minimal so don't plan on being able to read in bed at night and nothing is provided to comfortably sit in and read. There was a floor lamp in the corner of the room but its plug would not fit into the only power outlet I could find (the lamps male plug was too la
The Crewe Boutique Inn Hotel was great. The staff was extremely friendly. The 2 ladies that work evenings and days were extremely helpful and so sweet! Charleen took amazing care of us and was there in a blink of an eye whenever we needed anything. Now the Allure Banquet Hall…. We had an awful experience. We booked the Allure for my Rehearsal Dinner for my wedding. The heat broke the day before the event which they got fixed apparently. But then it broken 2 hours before my dinner and not a single person cared to call. They did bring heaters in to help but it was still 45 degrees at dinner! My entire family left, the food became cold as soon as it touched the air, and nobody even sat down in the banquet hall. Nothing was done, I got an apology. Nobody offered to move us into the restauran
Cheap but clean rooms. Breakfast is nice too with hot and cold foods.
The Boutique Inn is an ideal spot for us to stay when we recently visited family. We’ve stayed there in the past when it needed renovation. So I’m glad they have made some updates. The restaurant on site was amazing and the food was delicious. We booked 2 rooms Unfortunately one of the rooms we stayed in smelled as if a cat sprayed in them and we had to get air fresheners to combat the smell but was ineffective our whole stay. It was reported to the front desk but nothing was done that changed it. The other room smelled better. Front desk staff was friendly. House Keeping was great. They made sure we had clean towels daily. The continental breakfast was good. The upgrades to rooms (floors, bathrooms) were good. I would have given a five star review if, the smell in the room wasn’
What a charming place. We were in the area for a wedding at the Twin Lakes State Park and wanted something closer than most of the lodging in Farmville. It’s an upgraded version of the 1950’s motor inns of days gone by. It included a nice breakfast and coffee in the lobby and even a gym. The staff was lovely and Ann was a delight ….always checking around the property to make sure things were as they should be. Would definitely return!
