I've been coming here for 10 years. The current owners have owned for 6 years. This is my happy place. Bathrooms and showers are always clean, tent sites are amazing and roomy, and cabins are excellent. This trip we were in a cabin (our annual trip for the past four or five years) and it did not disappoint. We will continue to come back for both camping and tent camping as long as they're open! Bonus - camp kitties are super friendly! 12 out of 10 stars. Highly recommend!
Run down, disgusting campground. Was mislead to think it'd be a decent campground with wifi available, decent campsite and not far from the falls. The sites are terribly small and unlevel. The bath house was disgusting from the overbearing heat and the overflowed/clogged toilets in the mensroom. The wifi only worked at the corner of the building and outside of that there is no cell reception. The campground is right off the road and open to a lot of loud construction and other traffic. The only plus was the reception was nice and there's firewood available on an "honor system". ||The RV sites only had 1 water point actually useable/working out of the 3 and the cabins looked like Lowes sheds tossed together. ||I would not recommend this campground, ESPECIALLY for the price per night, as run
Good location. Very accommodating management. We brought our travel trailer. Unfortunately, however, this campground appears to be in need of some serious TLC. The bathroom was really filthy with leaves, bugs, rotting door, and empty soap dispensers. The campsites had lots of small debris / litter from previous campers, which we did pick up and dispose of to try to do our part. Many of the picnic tables are falling apart and rotting, which is a shame. The grass around some of the trash cans was in need of mowing or at least weed whacking. The rinse water outlet for RV hoses was not operational when we left. It just appears that more attention to ongoing maintenance is needed. Perhaps it’s a staffing issue.
If you’re reading the negative reviews and debating trying this place out, just do it. It’s important to remember that you are camping, not glamping. There will be leaves in the bathroom, service is shit, and you may get a picnic table that isn’t brand new. If that bothers you, pick another place. Leave this hidden gem for the rest of us ;) our family came here over thanksgiving break staying in an RV site. It was exactly what we needed. Zero complaints! Camp host is friendly and happy to chat about the cats, our stay, etc.
Beautiful site in a beautiful area! Even in the rain. I rode an e-bike from TN-RI and stopped at this campground for a night in May of '25. It was well kept and the staff was great. I even got to spend the night with a campground kitty who enjoyed guarding the site while I was there and even slept between my legs in my tent 😊
