Cozy Comfort Resort

My husband and I stayed here two years ago and were very impressed with these accommodations compared to others in the area. Last year, my sister and I stayed here for a "sisters' retreat" weekend. We both loved it so much we decided this would be the ideal place for our "girls' retreat" this coming summer with a few of our closest friends. We are all in our 50s and 60s. It has beautiful sunsets on Crystal Lake, with lots to do right at the resort (swimming, paddle-boarding, etc) as well as being close to other areas like Frankfort and Traverse City.

We have been staying at Cozy Comfort for over 41 years and have very good memories here. The couple who run the resort do an excellent job and try their best to accommodate any requests that you have. Great location on the lake. Close to town. fire-pit in the courtyard is nice. Great for families. This is NOT a bad place. There is a different side to the story written as a bad review/experience below. We will continue to spend our summer vacations at Cozy Comfort. Definitely worth a try if you have not stayed here before.

The resort is charming. My husband's family started coming here in the 1960's. With my father-in-law's passing earlier this year, this trip was important to my husband. Due to a miscommunication our family 4 lost the use of a cabin that fits our needs. We will be returning but will have to get creative on fitting 4 people in a 1 bedroom cabin. Unfortunately the current caretakers made it clear this was not a good year for them and they would not be returning next year. I would still encourage people to visit, just remember to ask questions.

Loved staying at Cozy Comfort! I stayed here once in 2020 and this time we were in cabin 5. Cozy Comfort is a perfect location- close to Sleeping Bear Dunes, Traverse City, and more! We loved having the paddle boards, kayaks, and pedal boat. This was the perfect place to stay for a girls week!

We just got back from a family vacation at Cozy Comfort Resort for a week. (We had 4 cabins). The cottages were awesome and the caretakers went out of their way to help. They brought a golf cart each morning for our use (I’m disabled and have trouble walking), and gave us “tips” for the area on things to do and places to go. We hope to get more cabins if available for next year. The only downfall was the location of the fire pit. Hoping it could be relocated to the front by the water instead of in the middle of all the cabins, where “youngsters” were sleeping (the sound carries at night). All in all, GREAT vacation. Can’t wait for next year!❤️❤️
