Courtyard by Marriott Sand City Monterey

This is an amazing place. I truly enjoyed my stay here and would definitely come back again. The staff were wonderful — very friendly and welcoming. The reception team was especially great and handled every question or request quickly and professionally. Thank you for the great experience. From the moment my fiancée and I arrived, Erick at the front desk made our first experience at your hotel truly special. He was incredibly polite, welcoming, and attentive. His professionalism and kindness immediately set the tone for our stay. To make the occasion even more memorable, he graciously upgraded our room, which was absolutely beautiful. The hotel itself was thoughtfully decorated, modern, and exceptionally well maintained. Our room was spotless, stylish, and very comfortable. We especially appreciated the amenities, including the smart TV options with Netflix and Prime, reliable WiFi, and a bed and comfort

For a new hotel, the establishment is exceptionally well-run. The staff, from check-in to the restaurant and bar, provided excellent service. The hotel is very spacious, and I appreciated the layout of the rooms, including the patio and balcony. I was particularly impressed by the soundproofing; despite hearing a neighbor's TV in the hallway, my room remained perfectly quiet. The high ceilings and the large, doorless shower—reminiscent of the Four Seasons—were also highlights of my stay. Having a fully furnished kitchenette with a dishwasher in the suite was very convenient, as was the proximity to Costco. I also enjoyed the complimentary one-hour e-bike rental. Overall, it was a great experience with excellent amenities.

My 4 year old daughter and I stayed here on a trip to the Monterey Bay Aquarium. We loved everything about our stay here. All of the staff are so friendly from the front desk, to the on site restaurant , housekeeping and maintenance. The location feels safe, the entire property is clean and well-maintained. There was live music on our first night here which was a nice surprise. The outdoor heated pool was able to be enjoyed in January! There’s also a large hot tub, fire pits and expansive courtyard. We loved it so much we extended our stay by one more night. I highly recommend this hotel and it will be our go to place to stay for future trips to Monterey.

My Courtyard Sand City stay was one of my favorites, and I am a Titanium Elite Life Bonvoy member. It is located with an ocean view of the Pacific, close distance to Monterey highlights, easy access from main roads, and close to gas stations and shops for convenience. The hotel is relatively new, and its presence blended into the coastal area designed with modern clean lines, bright, airy, and light yet functional plus senior friendly. Security considerations from entrance with staff greetings to room card required elevator access to the guest rooms was appreciated. The huge bank of walls of indoor/outdoor doors welcomed the fresh air throughout the lobby and café, merging comfort and spaciousness vibes.
