Courtyard by Marriott San Francisco Larkspur Landing/Marin County

Not a fan of Marriott charging parking fee ($15). However, everything else at this hotel was solid. Easy access to a plaza with Shake Shack and Starbucks; clean; quiet; spacious room; friendly staff.

Front desk was extraordinary and very kind and polite and professional, easy check-in process. Plenty of ample parking around the hotel. Had a nice heated pool, which was a huge plus. The reason why I gave a four star is because it is dark and outdated. They could definitely brighten up the place even just changing the carpet. Other than that, it was clean and I would go back.

I enjoyed our stay at this hotel! The receptionists were very nice. The room was spacious, and it had a balcony overlooking the pool. It was just across the street from the ferry to downtown San Francisco. It was so convenient to take to ferry and not have to worry about parking or traffic downtown. Also, there is a shopping center with all kinds of cute stores and restaurants across the street. There is a Farmers market on Saturday mornings, which we really enjoyed. I will definitely stay here again.

I'm writing this review to warn others because Marriott screens out their poor reviews and this property is not an ideal choice, especially for solo female travelers. The only thing this Courtyard has going for itself is the ideal central Marin location. Other than that, it's dirty, in dire need of a major renovation, and I didn't feel safe while there. On a recent stay, I experienced overall poor customer service and a dirty, dated, and unsafe room that had a finicky door lock, missing peep hole cover, broken furniture, and unbelievably, an ant infestation in the bathroom and separate sink area. I was also put on a crowded floor despite the fact that the property is huge and there were only a dozen cars in the parking lot, so they basically put all of us together for their own convenience

The front desk staff were very attentive and courteous. However, the guest rooms need to be updated and, most importantly, overall cleanliness did not meet standards. The parking fee was also a surprise. I would look to other properties in the future.
