Courtyard by Marriott New York Manhattan/Times Square West

1. Bathroom has a real door. So many NYC hotels do the pocket door/stall and I like this has a proper bathroom in the room|2. Amazing view, try to get a room facing the street|3. Clean|4. Water pressure was immaculate |5. Super friendly staff

We enjoyed a 2-night stay in January 2026, a special trip creating lasting memories with my teenage daughter, and choosing this hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. From the start, the quick and seamless check-in was paired with excellent customer service. The facilities were spotless, well-designed, and very accessible. Every staff member we encountered was kind and attentive, even simple greetings when coming and going made us feel genuinely welcomed. The room was impeccable and extremely comfortable, from the beds to the pillows. The location is ideal, with easy access to many places, and the surroundings felt calm and peaceful, which made our stay even more enjoyable. We stayed at this hotel in 2017 and had a good experience. My sister had an audition nearby, so we decided to stay here again. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The room was modern, spacious, and clean. The noise pollution was no better or worse than anywhere else I’ve stayed in NYC. The hotel is centrally located off of 37th St/8th Ave, a 5 minute walk from all of Times Square and Madison Square Garden. This is the main reason we chose to stay here again. However, since our last stay in 2017, a rehab center/community clinic with a needle exchange opened directly next to the hotel. This obviously attracts behavior that you don’t necessarily wish to walk by to access your hotel. The hotel has done what they can to mitigate by having security in the lobby and a double card access

If you want a nice sized room, great customer service, cleanliness and an awesome location, the Courtyard West is an excellent place to stay. No long waits for elevators. No dirty bathroom. Very fun and upbeat staff. If I had a negative it would be the staff at the Starbucks station. They weren't rude but they weren't very friendly either. Otherwise, I still rate this place a 10+, my stay was very pleasant for the three days I slept there. I was able to fall asleep fast too which never happens in hotel rooms.

I had the king bed room. Perfect for a solo traveler. It would be tight for two. The hotel staff is excellent! The hotel was clean and well maintained. It has laundry facilities too which is great. Good location and only four blocks from the train station.
