Courtyard by Marriott New York Manhattan/Midtown West

Great location and excellent service. The area feels safe, clean, and quiet. The higher floor room view was really good, size was acceptable for three people. We didn’t try the restaurant on the lower level, but it seemed very popular.

Really love this hotel. The staff are all friendly and helpful. The gentleman at security took the initiative to help me out by using logic versus having me wait hours to solve something. Kudos to him. Their little market downstairs that’s open 24/7 is awesome. The lay out of the small lobby is well done. The seats by the elevators are great because you can wait for your uber or private car to come you in the winter months as you stay warm. The hotels rooms are comfortable, have everything one can need, and I got lucky with the view. The location is superb. I’ll stay here more often when I come I’m in the city and need a room.

After booking directly with the hotel in person, they refused to refund my room when I had to cancel my trip due to weather. I lost $1,100 for two nights. Their explanation was simply that the room was already paid for and they already had the funds.||I am a loyal Marriott customer, but this situation is 100% on the hotel, not the brand. I stay here every year for work, but after this experience, I will not be staying here again. The customer service and lack of understanding or flexibility for the customer were extremely disappointing.

Positive: Hotel was great, 5 minute walk to the Hudson Yards subway station, and Hudson yards. Was a bit quieter than other locations. Street noise wasn’t bad. Negative: There is a $200 hold that was not disclosed anywhere in the information about the hotel. Understandable just wish I had known ahead of time.

This location of this hotel is really great for many reasons, It’s easy to get to by car or by subway, it’s close to all things midtown but nice to be in more of a low key vibe hills kitchen/chelsea. The room was great. Small for those used to suburban hotels, but not tiny. It was well appointment, clean and had a nice bathroom. Staff was friendly and efficient and I didn’t eat at the restaurant but it looked nice The parking was easy one block away and took no time at all to get it when leaving. The one complaint that I have, albeit minor, is that I don’t think I got a “midtown view.” Which paid a little extra for. I had view that was looking south (opposite of midtown) down 10th and 24th. Probably would recommend doing a skyline view as it is not that much more
