Courtyard by Marriott New Carrollton Landover

mI had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The staff were warm, friendly, and highly professional, making the whole experience smooth and welcoming. The room was clean, comfortable, and bright, which allowed me to rest very well. The hotel also provides a shuttle service between the train station and the hotel, which is extremely convenient. Breakfast is offered daily, and dinner is also available, which is a great bonus for travelers. I was very satisfied with my stay and will definitely choose this hotel again on my next trip to Washington, D.C. Highly recommended!

The hotel is very unassuming, when we first arrived I over heard my daughter whisper "this looks like a motel." However, upon entering I was pleasantly suprised. The lobby was pretty nice, there was a small bar, and several seating areas, there also was a small shop up front for snacks and drinks. ||Check in was easy, we paid to park in the parking lot that is right on sight, annoying, but I paid my $10 a night to not be towed. It's not even in the city, it is in a business park. So I'm not sure why charging for parking is happening here. I usually stay at a different hotel, but for this trip, location, the party size and accommodations needed this hotel was about the only one in the area that worked for my family. I like it here, staff is very down to Earth and familiar. The location is so great for Me. Across the street from Headquarters. Right around the corner from Amtrak. Down the street from Royal Farms. Win win win. I have a favorite room, there is plenty of seating in the Courtyard (actual) and lobby. The bartender service will make up for anything that might not be on the menu. Always a great experience here.

Positive: "" Negative: Lots of hair on the floors. Shower has black mold in several places. Platform in shower is loose allowing water to get behind and mold growth. Fixtures were dirty. Stand under TV dirty near bottom looks like mud. Headboard needs cleaning. Carpet torn.

Note: this is from the perspective of a gold elite member and a vacation club owner. So keep that in mind. I thought this hotel did not meet my expectations. The lobby staff was not warm and totally indifferent. Room walls paper thin, people partying and blasting music early morning. Elevators were crappy, rooms were ok at best (had a drawer that kept sliding out, hair, fit / finish issues everywhere). Broke down cars outside, broken wine bottles, stragglers everywhere. I did a fair amount of homework prior but it did not meet my expectations. It’s not terrible but no reason to return.
