Courtyard by Marriott Miami West/FL Turnpike

Con: hotel is in a former small town that is now turned into a Miami-Dade county territory in the middle of nowhere and underdeveloped area, no free breakfast, Pro: clean rooms, good restaurant food, fair restaurant food prices, nice and cozy lobby & pool area, great & clean atmosphere, no bugs, not a slum lord, hotel is almost luxurious, long running hot water and good stream, the tv is small but it was a pleasant experience being able to use your phone as a remote by scanning a bar code on the tv and plentiful channels I stayed for one night but I will be back and highly recommend this nice hotel that is under remodeling currently. I have Never had a worse experience at a Marriott Hotel! Upon arrival, walk in, no one at the front desk? I walk around a little, a lady walks out mumbles something turns around and disappears? So I walk around some more just looking and finally a heavy set white girl comes out to help. She seemed to be having a bad day maybe? Seemed like she didn’t want to be at work, had a little attitude. Maybe no one ever taught her some customer service skills? Got checked in but was not enjoyable. Is the Manager ever on site? Actually Managing the Hotel but more specifically the employees? Why is there not someone at the front Desk at check- in time?? I recently visited this hotel and had a wonderful time. It’s a relaxed and comfortable hotel located in a fantastic area. Although we only stayed for a night, the hotel lobby was mostly empty, but the hotel itself was very beautiful. The receptionist we met that night was incredibly welcoming and professional. It’s also very affordable, especially considering we booked on the weekend. The room was nice and accommodating so naturally we enjoyed our stay and were pleasantly surprised to receive complimentary breakfast.

I stayed at your hotel on November 28th for one night and was very dissatisfied with the service and the room. I was put in a room with an air conditioner that didn't turn off overnight, and I couldn't sleep in those conditions. I went to the front desk three times to resolve the issue, but the desk clerk was rude and unprofessional, offering to cancel my reservation, refund my money, and look for another hotel, and this was in the middle of the night. The breakfast was terrible.

The hotel suite that I got was very clean. The smell was pleasant. The room was spacious. The bed was comfortable. The view of the pool was nice from my hotel window. Although with Microsoft being down the check process was very smoothly.
