Countryside Inn

Our room was very, very basic. The beds were comfortable enough, but we found the floor was not cleaned well, and there were candy wrappers left in the bedside drawer. There was absolutely no place to put clothes (drawers, hangers, hooks). Our bathroom had a shower, and seemed to be created for disability access. However, there was NO toilet paper holder, there was a handle bar beside the toilet and one behind the toilet (???), and the vanity had no space to put any personal toiletries. The price was reasonable, but more work needs to be done to maintain a clean room as well as properly outfit a true accessible space. And also, hooks for clothing and a toilet paper dispenser seem to be necessities, not luxuries. On a plus, the view is great from the window.

Stayed at the Countryside Inn and really enjoyed it. The lady at the front desk was very helpful and welcoming. Rooms were spacious, restrooms clean, and the views around the property were beautiful. I especially liked the snacks in the room, something I haven’t seen at other hotels. Great stay overall.

I checked in a couple hours ago and, so far, everything—location, customer service, cleanliness of room and, especially price of room ($58 and change for all of the above) —has been five star. I will definitely stay here again if I have another work assignment in this area—Cobleskill, NY. Extra-loud shout out to the pleasant, friendly, efficient desk clerk who was on duty seven thirty this evening.

Positive: "" Negative: There were multiple bees and mosquitoes in the room. The bathroom was outdated and the seal on the bottom of the toilet leaked causing water to constantly be on the bathroom floor.

Had a great stay at this inn. The front desk staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was cozy and clean, with nice views surrounding the inn.
