Customer Reviews
This campground is beautiful! The owners are super friendly and accommodating. I love wildlife and it surely abounds here! The sites are huge, offering plenty of room to spread out, and parking is easy. Loved the ponds and the sound of the geese flying in every morning! The grounds are super tidy, with lots of bird houses sprinkled throughout, and the bathhouses are very clean. If you’re looking to stay somewhere with lots of things to do on-site, there are many campgrounds in the area that offer that, but if you’re looking to unwind in peace and quiet, this is THE place! I can’t say enough about it! Definitely going back soon! And an extra bonus is eating ice cream at your site from the famous Buttonwoods Ice Cream, only 5 minutes down the road!
I have gone to many campgrounds, and this is by far one of the best, its also beautifully maintained and clean. The sites are big, you are not on top of each other. The seasonal campers are awesome. They have so many beautiful sites. The owners are great. If you like a quiet peaceful scene. This is the place to go, also if you want to have some action, The casinos and shows are twenty minutes away. It's the best of both worlds. my husband and I love it and highly recommend it!
Could be an amazing campground with proper owners. Sites are spacious. But just move on, there are other campgrounds out there that are way better & accommodating. The owner, Linda is racist and mean. They do not know how to treat people. They steal from their seasonal campers. Zero amenities and zero morals. And don’t you dare have a good time and make friends with fellow campers!
This is my opinion and should be taken as such. Gotta say that this is one of my favorite spots in CT. Have never heard of it prior to this trip. Wooded, pretty large sites. And holy smokes it is a QUIET campground. Nice little fishing pond, lots of fish for the kids. Sites were clean. Owner s were fantastic to deal with. Super nice. My one star review would be for the store. Didn't have a lot to offer. In the grand scheme of things I would definitely come back. As a matter of fact I've been told we just booked for next year.
What a beautiful campground!!! Large, flat sites. Nice fire pit in site. Very, very quiet. We loved it. There are two small ponds. One has swimming and the other is a little catch and release area for fishing. We are seasoned campers (approx 150 nights per year) and it's not very often you come across a campground that is so well taken care of. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. The seasonal sites are also very well cared for and not dumpy looking as you find at some places. I should say, this is not a place if you are looking for all kinds of organized activities for your little ones. It's a place to go and just enjoy the peace and quiet of nature. The people in the office were helpful and kind even though we are currently dealing with Covid and the rules that ago w
