Country View Lodging Motel

We have stayed here several times in the cabins. They are always clean, and cozy. The front desk lady is always super friendly and polite. I believe I have stayed here 4 or 5 times. Photos are from cabin 4 While in the area grab a burger at Old 33 Burger there in Elkton!

While hiking along the Appalachian Trail with my brother in Shenandoah National Park. The weather turned bad so we went to the first hotel we found. What a pleasant surprise! The staff was very friendly and helpful. They hooked us up with a comfortable, clean room. They really made us feel welcome. They were helpful with recommending a shuttle and a good place to eat. Liked it so much, we went back again a few days later. I plan to take my wife there for a weekend getaway.

First time stay. We booked here based on the rating and so glad we did. Making the reservation was a breeze. Check in was just as easy. The front desk attendant was very friendly. We had cabin 2 with 2 beds. Very well kept. Homey feeling. VERY CLEAN. Being in the cabin you didn't hear your neighbors or the road out front. We only stayed one night but I was very impressed by the place. If im ever that way again I will definitely book there again. Also if you do have children there is an AWESOME playground near by :Rockingham Park at the Crossroads. 2 zip lines. Several things that spin. CLEAN. I have a 9 year old granddaughter and 10 year old grandson. They played nonstop for 2 hours. Highly recommend.

Little motels are too often overlooked in today’s hustle and bustle. We had a great night’s rest staying at the Country View. It was very similar to staying with family. We felt very much at home.

Stayed in June 2025. We used cabin 5 for our base. We hiked the trails on the Skyline Drive and this cabin was closest to the drive. Elkton was nice and friendly little town with several places to eat. Country View is a very nice motel. Very clean and the people employed there were very friendly and helpful with any need we had. We felt very safe there. Not only do they have cameras everywhere but there are "eyeballs" on the place at all times. We will be back!
