Country Haven Inn

This place wasn't super fancy, the rooms definitely could use some updating and they could use bigger tvs. But this place was clean and the people were super nice and it was quiet. I got two nights on Expedia for 140 bucks and I couldn't be happier. I would most definitely stay here again.

Positive: Good location, clean rooms Negative: I booked a room with 2 double beds, and the room only had 1 bed. The owner demanded an additional $40 to change rooms. It was too late in the evening to try and find another hotel, and my credit card had already been charged

3.5 ⭐️ Just okay. The best part was how clean this motel was. I was very impressed by the cleanliness. The carpets were worn and very dated. The towels were gym towels and the size of a hand towel. The bedspreads on the bed 🤢 from the 1970s! The breakfast had ZERO fruit. Not even apples and oranges. But everything was SO clean. Spotless bathroom and the linens were very fresh smelling. Would stay again because of the location and cleanliness. |

We have been going to Hillsboro for many many years since my husband has relatives in the town. Our last visit will be the last time we stay at this hotel. The hotel has gone down hill. Cannot understand the man at the desk. He is not friendly and it was hot in the hotel and when I asked if the A/c was working he snapped back at me and said yes and I said just checking because it's hot in here. The hotel smelled stuffy and dirty. I hate that this happened to this hotel. It use to be so pleasant and cozy to stay there.

We have stayed here several times over the past 4 yrs as our son attends Tabor College. It is not fancy but any stretch of the imagination, but it has always been clean and the staff welcoming. We were coming in extremely late and the new manager was so kind to us. We really appreciated the extra effort he went to to make us comfortable, and valued. Thank you Victor and family.
