Country Garden & Suites

Was overpriced for the quality of the hotel. Dead cockroach on the floor, stain on the sheet, dust everywhere, old bathroom. Weird smell in the room as well. No napkins for breakfast or waffle mix honestly would not reccomend. Bed was comfy though and it did the job. Some of the staff were nice others just chill.

We were greeted very kindly and helped by the staff. All we asked for was a good night’s rest and a decent breakfast. We received all of that - and the kindness was a bonus. Pricing was inviting as well. Thank you!

The front Desk was friendly, and beds were clean. Also, the area seemed safe. I most likely would not select or recommend this hotel in the future. It had roaches, the shower curtain was dirty, you could not adjust shower hot and cold water to get a comfortable shower, the towels were old and dingy, you could smell cigarette smoke through the ventilation, and the laundry soap dispenser machine was out of service.

Positive: Location, very close to Rend Lake. Negative: It appears they put in new flooring throughout, but cleaning doesn’t seem a priority. Lamps covered in dust. Water temp control in shower was non existent. You were either scolded or frozen.

Traveling out of Texas.. lost my ID and card. This place welcomed me and allowed me to use my temp ID and I knew my card information. Amazing service for someone in need.
