Country Diamond

Kind of out of the way place. Really is a beautiful spot and I would like to rate this higher. However had to use my own towels, tv was stuck on internet and never was available for use in the room. Had issues with running payment through booking.com . Value is good However you do drive far from the highway.

Highly recommend staying here!! We stopped for a night while traveling cross-country with a horse. Very clean, cozy room. Better than most hotels I’ve ever stayed at! It was easy to feel at-home. They have round pens for horses to stay overnight, and they’re big enough for them to move around and stretch their legs after a long trailer ride. Overall it was a convenient, stress-free stay at a reasonable price!

This house is truly "in the country". Hostess Lona Lewis delivers excellent hospitality. Very easy to communicate, very accommodating. The Fremont suite is a spacious room with view, queen bed and seating group and private bath. TV, lounging, etc. in the guest's common area. The house has 4,000 sqft+, plenty of parking space. Lona will cook an excellent breakfast upon request. Take note that the last mile to the house is on a packed gravel road.

Not too far off the beaten path. Quiet nights. Fresh air. Spectacular views of and from the Loess Hills! Lona the owner IS the diamond of Country Diamond. Great woman, heart of gold, always has a story from the heart and a smile on her face.

The Country Diamond Inn is a lovely old building, situated on extensive grounds for hiking (etc.), with an agreeable proprietor. The bedrooms are compact, as expected for an older house, and nicely furnished, with good beds and portable air conditioners; we also had access to 1.5 shared bathrooms (bring your own toiletries, excepting towels) as well as shared kitchen (stocked with cooking paraphernalia) and den/TV areas. Everything seemed clean and well maintained. The proprietor, Lona, was amiable and ready with advice or directions, but also responsive to her guests' preferences for conversation versus space/privacy. Her establishment is pet-friendly (cats included -- Lona has two of her own) with no pet fee, and Lona was kind enough to prepare for us a small breakfast of coffee and cinn
