Useable but not a great choice. The state park campground was closed so there weren't many options but we'd seen this private campground before and thought it might be good! Had some difficulty checking in as there is a miscommunication on the website and in the registration system--website says check-in is required but it seems in practice it isn't, we wasted time on this as the owners weren't at the office. The bathrooms are muck-all filthy, I don't know if they only clean them at the start of the season or what, but that was pretty disappointing, we didn't even consider using the showers. Tent site was fine except there are cameras everywhere? Which was offputting and there isn't a lot of privacy overall (there are too many sites for the amount of land in use, no trees between tent

Went to have a graduation get together here at cougar park and camped. thanks to Val and Robert Castro for kicking us out and blaming us for the restrooms being dirty if you’re a minority I wouldn’t go here they only blame the first colored family they see, take your money elsewhere

Trouble place to camp. Because we were loud they said we couldn’t shower there, they Singled us out, and didn’t even bother with a warning before being nasty to us, we definitely won’t be going back here anytime soon and frankly if you wanna have a good time do not go here it’s trouble you have to be quiet by 10:00 pm we had kids with us, the owners kept telling us people were moving spots because we were to loud. The toilets were broken they were broken and could’ve even flash the toilet could’ve wipe your hands off, and we’re where only two bathrooms one was in use all night and day. The area we stayed in was trouble was not up kept the camp we stay in which was G1, and they put us close the to road. How the freak to expect anybody to sleep,

Our experiences wasn’t great at all! We got yelled at by the owners and they singled us out about our noise level. The bathrooms were dirty and the toilet didn’t flush half the time. They both were really rude to us. Wouldn’t go there again!

Park was ok. Our site (9) was slanted enough that we had to put blocks under the back jacks to get it leveled (it lifted the tires off the ground). If you have a long trailer (ours is 43ft) its pretty tight on some of the turns but doable. Proximity to Ape Caves, lakes, and hiking is good. No cell service but park has wifi. We didnt use the bathrooms/showers or laundry room. Owner was friendly.
