Customer Reviews
I rolled up close to closing time for the hosts but they helped me get settled into the last open spot and were very helpful. Later, Bison walked right through our campground and it was magnificent to witness. Coolest experience to date and the campground has all the amenities you could need while exploring TDRNP!
We loved the beautiful view of the site we camped at. It was very close to the field and Mountain View behind it. Very quiet the Saturday night we stayed. A convenient place to stay to explore Theodore National Park. The bathrooms are clean, new and nice, with an outdoor utility sink. No showers though.
We stayed here in August 2021 and loved boondocking at this campground. We had a 36ft Class A with tow vehicle and appreciated the pull thru sites that had plenty of room to spare. No hookups or dump station, so be prepared. Sites along the west side have great views out to the hills and walking paths to the river. Very quiet campground with short drives to great hiking at TRNP. Be careful of bison driving at night, they appear where you least expect them! We had site 9 which was one of the best sites for views with a big rig.
Very nice campground in a spectacular location! The only thing needed for a five star rating from me would be showers. The sites are spacious and fairly private, each with a picnic table and either fire pit or charcoal grill. The very nice clean, new bathrooms are located in the center of the loops with back door paths to them, and you do have to be watchful of bison wandering through the campground! Water spigots and dumpsters are located throughout the campground, and they have recycling for plastic bottles and aluminum cans. Handicap sites have spigots and trash cans at the site. The campground was full every night we were there, so get there early if you don’t have a reservation. Odd numbered sites are reservable and even numbers are first come first serve. The park is amazing! Spect
We think this is a great campground located in a wonderful national park! Beautiful area and great sites, surroundings, facilities, and staff/volunteers. Will definitely stay here again if we return to the area. I believe we stayed in site 54 and we’d be delighted to stay in that site again too.
