Coronado Motel

This place is awesome! The service was exceptional. They went above and beyond to accommodate my husband who is in a wheelchair. Everything was clean and well kept. Beds are very comfy. They clearly work hard to provide a great nights sleep. Highly recommend.

We booked ahead thru Travelocity, had a check in time of 3 pm Monday the 13th. Arrived at 2pm, no one there, NOT ONE CAR or PERSON. We called the number twice, nobody answered. Went next door to eat and wait on 3pm thinking someone may show up at check in time. At 3pm we sat in parking lot and called both numbers until we'll after 3pm. Sign on office said remodeling office temporarily in Unit 2. We banged on door, went back to office and another sign said Unit 4 being used as temp. Office but no one was in that unit either. Gave up and went down the block and Checked into a different motel. I purchased trip insurance but was informed today it was not covered on my claim filed. Not using Trip Advisor again, Steer clear of Coronado Hotel in Ft Sumner, NM We got scammed!!

The rooms are what you expect from a small town Motel. The service is above and beyond expectations. I had the best experience there. I was traveling with several animals in the middle of a move and they helped me out tremendously. Location is easy to access. I would recommend this place to any of my friends.

I showed up in town late on a monday night and first stop for gas. I asked the cashier if you would stay at the coronado or the super 8. He said the 8 smelled and this place had new owners that had been fixing it up. I pulled in and first met the owner's father and exchanged small talk about my travels. The young man that runs a place took me and showed me a room for a price that couldn't be beat. The room was small but clean and very quiet.The building has a great old west vibe to it. It is family owned and operated. The owner was an ambitious young man with plans to add a food truck and overall invest in his community. Would stay again.

Owner/Manager was super Friendly & Sweet to us ❤️ You can't beat the price for a quick overnight stop to rest. Hotel is older and vintage, has log cabin type ceiling. If you're looking for the bells & whistles of the Hilton this isn't your place but it's clean & locally owned with a great price & nice helpful people. We'd stay again if going through.
