Copper Lantern Motor Lodge

Straight out of the 60's or 70's. So, I don't require much, and I'll take a motel over a hotel any day of the week, but WOW. The location was good for us as we were going to a wedding 3/4 mile away. The corridor and stairs to the 2 story building were covered in bird poop. The plastic tables and walls outside of the rooms looked as though they had never been cleaned. Needs a thorough power washing. As for inside, be prepared to step back in time, not in the good way. This was at best a $60 room, yet we paid $180. We stayed for 10 hours and touched as little as possible. I think the place has potential to be adorable, and not for a lot of money. Perhaps a coat of paint, new bedspreads, coffee maker, mini fridge, to name a few.

Me and my Bf love to enjoy coming here whether it's for a week or a few days to a little Baecation to relax, get a great night's rest, and simply find clarity. We've done this quite a few times and it's always great to feel a home. The staff it Incredible and extremely friendly. We will ve back here soon I'm certain. If you haven't checked out this little spot surrounded by things you may need, especially for a decent price, then definitely do. Thumbs up for us!

It is rare I write a review while I’m still staying at a location…even more rare to write a negative review while I’m still staying somewhere but I have to! It is so freaking hot in my lovely room but I may have to be hospitalized by morning! When I arrived about 4 hours ago it was hotter in this room than it was outside…and outside was 98! The AC was off and the curtains were open with the sun cooking the room! I immediately closed the curtains and put the temp on the AC down to 60! It is still brutally hot in here at 10 PM! Sweat is soaking the pillow…there is no relief even with only a sheet over me and a cold wash cloth on my forehead and wrists! ||The room is lovely…though the area above the AC needs a little work! I booked a reservation with this hotel for the 5th of November because they are pet friendly, the reason for my stay is to attend the burial service in Hardwick Massachusetts. I learned shortly after my making the reservation that the plans for the burial did not go through. Upon trying to cancel my reservation I was told that at the time I made it I had agreed to a no refund policy, which no one mentioned at the time I made the reservation. I will be very upset if I am not refunded due to the delicate nature of my stay for a cemetery burial. I will further post if they have any compassion or recourse for the situation if , will definitely contact the Better Business Bureau.

Booked for one night & the room was very good. The staff was accommodating & very respectful. I would stay there again for business or personal trip.
