Concho Lake Campground

With all the rainfall early October 2025 , the water level has risen and the area is teaming with life . I'm not sure if there is fish but the calm quiet wind flowing through the trees and the birds songs in the air. Very nice place to relax kick up your feet and read a book or just relax !

Convenient campsite on the lake. 7 day limit. Free! Concrete slabs for flat setup. Currently stage 2 fire restriction. Pack in pack out. No trash or toilets. Nice boondocker spot. Good place to get some rest traveling between petrified national forest

Beautiful area and slept in car safely. Dark and got there after dark and was still safe in my own spot; very grateful for safe landing. Heard ducks quacking at night very peaceful

If all you need is a place for the night along your way this is as easy and pleasant as it gets. This time of year park wherever. No toilets (maybe too early in the year to put out.

Arrived around 9 PM and drove straight in, parked on one of the pads, and car camped. It was super private aka like only two other cars/RVs in the place. There’s a fire pit, and there were two port-a-potties. The doors for the port-a-potties were wide open tho so we didn’t use them. Not sure what their condition is. The lake is super low, but there were still ducks! Great place to camp, then go to Petrified Forest. Great dispersed camping. Had great service, we even watched a movie!! The gas station on the other side of the main road has no public restrooms.
